The brand offers sugar-free cakes, cookies, chocolates, gluten-free options, and premium gift hampers, combining health, entertainment, and joy in every store.

Its FOCO model (Franchise-Owned, Company-Operated) allows investors to fund the store while SugarTown manages setup, staffing, inventory, and operations, targeting assured monthly returns. Founded in 2017 by retail veteran Rohit Ozarkar, SugarTown has grown from a small candy unit into a fast-scaling retail venture with a vision to build 500+ stores across metro cities by 2030. The company is expanding across malls, high-street locations, and hospitality spaces to tap into India’s growing demand for gifting, clean desserts, and immersive family experiences.

Role Description The Interior Designer will be responsible for designing and optimizing SugarTown retail spaces, ensuring that store layouts reflect the brand’s experiential dessert concept and customer-centric flow. Day-to-day tasks include developing interior design concepts, preparing layout plans, coordinating space planning, and collaborating with architects, contractors, and vendors to execute designs within brand and budget guidelines.

The role involves preparing and reviewing construction drawings,



selecting FF&E; (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and ensuring materials, finishes, and lighting support the health-focused, theatrical store experience.

The Interior

Designer will also conduct site visits, monitor on-site work quality, and align design solutions with operations, merchandising, and marketing requirements. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust Interior Design and Space Planning skills to create efficient, customer-friendly retail layouts.
- Candidates should possess Architecture and Construction Drawings skills to develop detailed plans and coordinate with project teams.
- Candidates should possess FF&E; selection and specification skills to choose appropriate furniture, fixtures, and equipment aligned with brand standards.
- Relevant qualifications such as a degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience in retail or hospitality design, including concept development and store rollout projects.
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar), and familiarity with material and finish selection.
- Strong project coordination, time management, and communication skills, with the ability to work on-site with cross-functional teams.
