Role Description The Immigration Legal Assistant is a full-time remote role supporting attorneys with a variety of immigration matters. Day-to-day tasks include preparing and organizing immigration forms and supporting documents, maintaining case files, and tracking deadlines. The role involves communicating with clients to gather information, schedule meetings, and provide case updates, as well as coordinating with government agencies when needed.

Qualifications

- Knowledge of immigration law and procedures, and experience supporting legal assistants or legal professionals.
- Skills in legal document preparation, including drafting, reviewing, and organizing forms and supporting evidence.
- Strong communication abilities, both written and verbal, with a focus on clear, skilled client interactions.
- Administrative assistance skills, including scheduling, data entry, electronic file management, and task tracking.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
- Comfort working with technology-driven tools, including case management software, cloud-based document systems, and video conferencing platforms.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with a dispersed team.
- Prior experience in immigration law or a law office setting is preferred; relevant education or paralegal training is a plus.
