Every day, we rise to the challenge to make a difference and here’s how this role will make an impact: Role Purpose The HR Business Partner (HRBP) for the R&D; organization partners closely with R&D; leadership to execute talent and organizational priorities that directly support innovation outcomes. The role translates business strategy into actionable people plans, builds critical capabilities, and drives disciplined talent and performance processes to enable a high-performing, future-ready R&D; organization.

- Address unique needs of scientific workforce (career paths, recognition, knowledge-sharing)
- Analyze engagement data and translate insights into actionable interventions
- Provide guidance on complex people matters and change management
- Own and execute the annual talent lifecycle for R&D; (talent reviews, succession planning, development planning)




- Facilitate structured talent reviews with leaders; drive calibration, identify gaps, and track follow-ups
- Build and maintain succession pipelines for critical, niche, and leadership roles with ready-now and ready-next successors
- Identify high-potential talent and implement acceleration plans (rotations, stretch assignments, mentoring)
- Track key talent metrics (HiPo movement, successor readiness, internal fill rates)
- Design and deploy targeted interventions to build:
- Scientific leadership capability
- Innovation mindset
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Create and deploy development journeys for emerging and senior leaders
- Coach R&D; leaders on people leadership, team effectiveness, and performance differentiation
- Drive workforce planning aligned with R&D; pipeline and innovation goals
- Partner with leadership on organization design and restructuring initiatives
- Ensure optimal talent mix (scientific, digital, analytical) for future readiness
- Lead performance management processes with focus on:
- Differentiation
- Meritocracy
- High-performance culture
- Partner closely with Centers of Excellence (CoEs) to deliver integrated HR solutions

Qualification, Knowledge and Experience

- Master’s Degree or Equivalent in HR with at least 8 years post qualification experience.
- Significant experience in Talent Management, Leadership Development, and Succession Planning
- Preferably experience supporting R&D; organizations / Knowledge-intensive or innovation-driven functions
- Proven ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders
- Fluency in English, Strong communication skills, Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Confidence and ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines managing multiple priorities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as analytical, project management and problem-solving skills.
