Company Description PYAAS is a DPIIT-recognized, FSSAI-licensed dairy startup that builds full traceability into every pack of milk, connecting urban families directly with individual farms in Uttar Pradesh. Each pack carries a QR code that reveals farm details, batch composition, quality test results, and the timeline from milking to chilling, ensuring transparency at every step. The company currently sources milk from four family farms in Gonda, with more farms being mapped and onboarded through careful verification and testing.
PYAAS serves households in Lucknow with single farm and family farm milk, small-batch Bilona cow ghee across India, and Parag dairy products as the brand’s appointed digital storefront in selected localities. All services run through the PYAAS app and the PYAAS Digital Agent Network (P-DAN), enabling local milk providers and shop owners to serve their neighborhoods on a unified digital platform.
Role Description The Head of Operations (Internship) will oversee day-to-day operational activities across sourcing, production, logistics, and customer fulfillment to ensure reliable and traceable delivery of dairy products. This remote role includes coordinating with farm partners and digital agents, monitoring operational performance metrics, and improving processes for quality control, inventory management, and last-mile delivery.
The intern will assist in structuring operational workflows on the PYAAS platform, supporting standard operating procedures, and ensuring compliance with food safety and regulatory requirements.
The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, preparing operational reports, and supporting budgeting and resource planning for ongoing and new initiatives.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Operations Management skills, including process design, workflow optimization, and coordination across supply chain activities.
- Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills to interpret data, track performance indicators, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Candidates should possess effective Team Management and Communication skills to work with farm partners, digital agents, and internal teams in a distributed environment.
- Candidates should possess Budgeting and basic financial management skills to support cost control and resource allocation.
- Relevant qualifications such as ongoing or completed studies in Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or related fields are beneficial.
- Familiarity with dairy, agriculture, or FMCG operations, and comfort working with digital platforms and mobile apps, will be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting, maintain clear documentation, and adapt to a fast-paced startup setting is highly valued.
