Role Description The Head Account Payable role is a full time, on-site position based in Vadodara. This role oversees the entire accounts payable function, including verification and processing of vendor invoices, approval workflows, payment scheduling, and reconciliation of supplier accounts.

The individual will manage AP policies and procedures, ensure compliance with internal controls and statutory requirements, and coordinate closely with procurement, finance, and operational teams to resolve discrepancies and support smooth vendor relationships.

The Head Account

Payable will monitor aging reports, optimize cash flow related to payables, support month-end and year-end closing activities, and provide accurate data for financial reporting.



This role also involves leading and mentoring the accounts payable team, implementing process improvements, and supporting audits with timely documentation and analysis.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Accounting and Finance , with the ability to manage end-to-end accounts payable operations.
- Proficiency in interpreting and working with Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to support closing and audit requirements.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to review payables data, identify trends, resolve discrepancies, and optimize payment processes.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems, MS Excel, and other financial tools for managing high transaction volumes.
- Proven ability to lead teams, delegate effectively, and drive process standardization and automation.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to maintaining accurate financial records.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional qualification (CA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a senior accounts payable or finance leadership role, preferably within manufacturing or infrastructure sectors.
