Role Overview We are looking for an experienced GitHub Enterprise Architect / Platform Engineer to lead GitHub Enterprise architecture, governance, CI/CD, security, and enterprise-wide adoption.

The candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Actions, GitHub Advanced Security, GitHub Copilot, Self-hosted Runners, and Actions Runner Controller (ARC), along with experience managing enterprise-scale SCM/DevOps environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and govern GitHub Enterprise organizations, repositories, teams, permissions, branching strategies, and enterprise policies.
- Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Configure and manage Self-hosted Runners and Actions Runner Controller (ARC).
- Implement and govern GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), including:
- Code Scanning
- Secret Scanning
- Dependabot
- Administer and enable GitHub Copilot across enterprise environments, including licensing, governance, and responsible AI practices.
- Lead enterprise-scale SCM migrations from Bitbucket, GitLab, SVN, Perforce, Azure DevOps, and other platforms to GitHub Enterprise.
- Conduct architecture assessments, POCs, platform optimization, and DevSecOps initiatives.
- Work with engineering, security, platform teams, leadership,



and GitHub support/TAM teams to resolve enterprise-level technical issues and escalations.
- Establish repository governance standards, security policies, documentation, best practices, and enablement programs.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development and DevOps teams.

Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should have 8+ years of experience in DevOps, SCM, platform engineering, or enterprise architecture, with significant hands-on experience building and governing GitHub Enterprise platforms at scale. Candidates who have only used GitHub as a developer or primarily worked with GitHub Actions without GitHub Enterprise administration, GHAS, Copilot, Self-hosted Runners and ARC experience should not be considered for this role.
