We’re looking for a Furniture Designer to join the Indie Living team and work on our evolving furniture collection, bespoke pieces, and custom furniture for residential and commercial interiors.

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just design furniture, but understands form, proportion, materials, construction and how a piece comes to life.

What you’ll be working on

- Develop original furniture concepts aligned with the design language of Indie Living
- Create sketches, 3D models and detailed furniture designs
- Translate concepts into technically resolved, production-ready pieces
- Develop joinery, construction details and material specifications
- Prepare detailed production and working drawings
- Coordinate with manufacturers, vendors and craftsmen
- Review prototypes, samples and production pieces




- Make design modifications based on technical and manufacturing feasibility
- Assist in developing new pieces for Indie Living Gallery / Foundation Collection

What we’re looking for

- Degree/diploma in Furniture Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, Interior Design, Architecture or a related field
- Strong understanding of furniture construction, materials and manufacturing
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, Rhino, Blender, or equivalent 3D modelling software
- Ability to create accurate and detailed technical drawings
- Valuable understanding of joinery, proportions, materials and production methods
- Strong design sensibility with attention to detail
- Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with manufacturers
- A portfolio demonstrating furniture/product design and 3D modelling skills

- Comfortable working from concept → 3D model → technical detailing → prototype → final product
- Sensitive to proportion, texture and craftsmanship
- Inspired by Indian craft while thinking with a contemporary, global perspective
- Hands-on and willing to work closely with manufacturers and craftsmen
- Detail-oriented and capable of taking ownership of a piece from beginning to end
- Experience: 1–3 years preferred. Freshers with an exceptional furniture/product design portfolio may also be considered.
