Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Fresher Physiotherapist based in Coimbatore at APRC. The Physiotherapist will assist in assessing patients using standardized protocols, documenting findings, and supporting the development of individualized treatment plans under the guidance of senior therapists. Day-to-day responsibilities include delivering supervised physiotherapy sessions, monitoring patient progress, and updating clinical records accurately.
The role involves working with diverse patient groups, including geriatric, post-operative, and neurological cases, across clinic settings and, where required, participating in supervised home-visit services.
The Physiotherapist will collaborate with the clinical team to maintain safety, follow SOPs, educate patients and caregivers on exercises and lifestyle modifications, and contribute to a positive, respectful care environment.
Qualifications
- Foundational physiotherapy skills in patient assessment, exercise prescription, and rehabilitation techniques, ideally with exposure to musculoskeletal, neurological, and geriatric care.
- Strong clinical documentation and observation skills, including the ability to record patient history, treatment plans, and progress notes with accuracy and clarity.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members in a respectful and empathetic manner.
- Ability to follow clinical SOPs, adhere to safety guidelines, and work under supervision while progressively taking independent responsibility for caseloads.
- Basic computer literacy for using clinic software, maintaining digital records, and accessing online learning resources.
- Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy (BPT) from a recognized institution; valid or eligible local registration/license as per regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to work in an on-site clinical setting in Coimbatore and, when needed, participate in supervised home-visit physiotherapy services.
- Commitment to continuous learning, openness to feedback, and interest in evidence-based, outcome-driven physiotherapy practice.
