About the RoleWavexcel is looking for a motivated Forward Deployed Engineer Intern who is excited about solving real-world business problems using technology.

As an FDE Intern, you will work closely with our engineering and business teams to understand client requirements, build prototypes and software solutions, integrate APIs and enterprise systems, and help take solutions from development to production.

This is a hands-on engineering role where you will get exposure to the complete software development lifecycle—from understanding a problem and designing a solution to development, deployment, debugging, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

- Work with engineering and business teams to understand client requirements and business processes.
- Convert business requirements into practical technical solutions.
- Develop, test, and deploy software and AI-powered solutions.
- Build Proof of Concepts (POCs) and prototypes for real-world use cases.
- Work with REST APIs, databases, third-party integrations, and enterprise systems.
- Work with data extraction, transformation, mapping, and validation.
- Assist in deploying applications in cloud and on-premise environments.
- Debug issues across applications, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
- Assist with production deployments, monitoring, troubleshooting, and support.
- Work with authentication and security concepts such as OAuth, API keys, RBAC, and access control.
- Explore and integrate LLMs, AI APIs, RAG, and AI agents into business applications.
- Participate in technical discussions, solution demonstrations,



and internal/client meetings.
- Document technical solutions, APIs, configurations, and deployment processes.
- Collaborate with Engineering, AI/ML, Product, and Business teams.

Must-Have Skills
- Strong programming fundamentals in Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, or C#.
- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Understanding of REST APIs and HTTP concepts.
- Basic understanding of SQL and databases.
- Familiarity with Git and GitHub.
- Good problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Understanding of software development fundamentals and data structures.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work on real-world problems and take ownership of assigned tasks.

Good to Have
- Experience with Node.js, Python, Java, or .NET.
- Familiarity with React, Next.js, or other frontend frameworks.
- Experience working with MongoDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or other databases.
- Basic knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with Docker and CI/CD.
- Experience working with OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or other LLM APIs.
- Understanding of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, or AI agents.
- Experience building personal projects, POCs, or open-source contributions.
- Active profiles on LeetCode, HackerRank, CodeChef, or similar platforms are a plus.

Based on performance, technical ability, ownership, and business requirements, successful interns may receive an opportunity to join Wavexcel as a full-time Forward Deployed Engineer / Software Engineer after completing the internship.
