About Sidekick Machines

Sidekick Machines is an AI startup that builds and runs AI agents for enterprises. Most agent projects stall on infrastructure: identity, security, integrations, approvals, monitoring and cost. We built our own platform, Sidekick, on Microsoft's agent stack to handle that infrastructure. Our engineers spend their time on the work that matters, and we stay on to run every agent we ship.

Agentic AI is new, and nobody has a decade of it. We hire people with strong fundamentals and the drive to figure things out, and we teach the rest.

The role

Every company wants AI agents. Very few get one into production, because most of the effort goes into plumbing: identity, security, integrations, hosting and monitoring. At Sidekick, the platform already handles that. Your job is to work with client teams, understand how their work gets done, and build agents that take on that work.

This role suits people from consulting and systems integration who have delivered enterprise technology projects and want to focus on the business problem.

What you'll do

- Work with client teams to understand their day-to-day work, their business workflows and the enterprise systems behind them.
- Design the agent: what it handles on its own, and what it hands back to a person.
- Build it on the Sidekick platform with skills, prompts,



tool calls, hooks and integrations.
- Get it in front of real users, prove it works, and hand it to our Agent Operations team to run.
- Tell us what slowed you down, so the platform gets better with every engagement.

What we're looking for

- 10+ years of client-facing delivery experience at a consultancy or systems integrator, as a technical consultant, solution architect, implementation engineer or developer.
- Hands-on technical skill. You can write code, work with APIs and find your way around enterprise systems like ERP, CRM and Microsoft 365.
- The ability to sit with a domain expert, ask the right questions and turn a messy process into explicit logic.
- Comfort presenting to anyone from frontline staff to executives.
- Curiosity, resourcefulness, and a habit of owning outcomes rather than task lists.

Bonus

- You've built something with LLMs, even on the side.
- Experience in the Microsoft ecosystem (Azure, Microsoft 365, Teams).

Training You'll learn the Sidekick platform and how we build agents from the team, then pair with an experienced FDE on a live engagement before you lead your own.
