About The Second Set™
The Second Set™ is a new Indian women's movement and lifestyle brand focused on creating elevated, functional clothing that sits between activewear, everyday fashion and comfort .
We are developing our first collection and are looking for an experienced Activewear Technical Designer / Pattern Maker who can help take product ideas from concept → technical development → pattern → tech pack → sampling → fit corrections → production-ready product.
This is an early-stage opportunity with significant creative involvement. You will work closely with the founder to develop the brand's initial product range and potentially continue with the brand as we scale.
Role
- Develop patterns for women's activewear and athleisure.
- Create detailed, manufacturer-ready tech packs .
- Recommend suitable fabrics, GSM, composition, stretch, recovery and construction .
- Develop products using stretch/performance fabrics.
- Work on fit, measurements, grading and size specifications.
- Review samples and make pattern/technical corrections.
- Advise on garment construction, seams, waistbands, support, lining, etc.
- Coordinate with manufacturers during sampling and production.
- Help ensure products balance function, comfort, aesthetics and manufacturability .
Ideal Candidate
- Experience in activewear / athleisure / sportswear strongly preferred.
- Robust pattern-making and garment construction skills.
- Experience creating professional tech packs.
- Good understanding of stretch and performance fabrics.
- Experience working with Indian manufacturers is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and contribute ideas, not just execute instructions.
- CLO 3D, Illustrator, Lectra or similar experience is a plus.
