We are looking for an experienced, commercially driven and highly energetic General Manager to lead the overall operations and business performance of SOMARA.

Job Responsibilities

- Take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operations and business performance of SOMARA.
- Lead all restaurant departments including F&B; Service, Kitchen, Bar, Guest Relations, Housekeeping, Sales and Administration.
- Ensure smooth and efficient operations across all shifts.
- Develop and implement operational SOPs and ensure strict adherence.
- Monitor daily sales, revenue, covers, average order value, table turnover and profitability.
- Drive revenue growth through dining, events, corporate bookings, private parties and special occasions.
- Work closely with the Corporate Sales Manager to develop and grow corporate business.
- Monitor food and beverage costs, wastage, inventory and operational expenses.
- Coordinate with the Executive Chef and culinary team to maintain food quality and consistency.
- Ensure exceptional guest service and maintain SOMARA's service standards.
- Handle important guest interactions, complaints and service recovery professionally.
- Build robust relationships with VIP guests, corporate clients and key customers.
- Develop strategies to increase repeat customers and customer loyalty.
- Monitor customer feedback, online reviews and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with Marketing to execute promotions, events and revenue-generating campaigns.
- Plan and manage special events, celebrations, launches and high-volume occasions.
- Prepare and review daily, weekly and monthly operational reports.




- Analyse business performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Monitor staff productivity, attendance, discipline and performance.
- Work closely with HR for recruitment, training, manpower planning and employee retention.
- Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, licensing and applicable statutory requirements.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, ambience, service and operational discipline.
- Coordinate with vendors, suppliers and external partners when required.
- Ensure the restaurant operates within approved budgets and business targets.
- Report business performance, challenges and opportunities directly to management.

Revenue & Business Development The General Manager will be responsible for driving business across:

- Partnerships & Brand Collaborations

Pre-Opening Responsibilities The General Manager will play a key role in SOMARA's pre-opening and launch process, including:
- Finalising operational SOPs.
- Coordinating department-wise manpower requirements.
- Supporting recruitment and team formation.
- Coordinating staff induction and training.
- Establishing service standards.
- Conducting mock services and trial runs.
- Coordinating with kitchen, bar, service and support teams.
- Developing opening-day operational plans.
- Establishing reporting and control systems.
- Coordinating soft opening and launch operations.




- Ensuring the restaurant is fully operationally ready before opening.

Candidate Profile
- 8–15 years of relevant hospitality/F&B; experience.
- Minimum 3–5 years in a senior management role such as General Manager, Restaurant General Manager, Operations Manager, F&B; Manager or equivalent.
- Experience in premium restaurants, restrobars, luxury hotels or high-volume F&B; establishments preferred.
- Strong understanding of restaurant operations and commercial performance.
- Proven experience in managing large teams and multiple departments.
- Solid knowledge of revenue management, cost control and profitability.
- Excellent leadership, communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong understanding of guest experience and service standards.
- Experience in corporate sales, events and business development is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Graduate in Hospitality Management, Business Management or related field preferred.
