Role Description This is a full-time, in office Fire Officer role based in Chennai.

The Fire

Officer will oversee fire safety management across facilities, including conducting inspections, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with relevant fire safety regulations and company HSE policies.

Responsibilities include planning and implementing fire prevention measures, maintaining and testing fire protection equipment, and coordinating emergency response procedures.

Officer will lead or support emergency services activities such as fire drills, evacuation exercises, and incident response,



while providing training and guidance to employees and contractors on fire safety practices. The role involves close collaboration with operations, HSE teams, and external agencies to maintain a high level of preparedness and continuous improvement in fire safety performance.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Fire Prevention and Fire Safety to identify risks and implement effective control measures.
- Candidates should possess experience in Fire Safety Management and Fire Service to oversee systems, procedures, and fire response operations.
- Candidates should possess capabilities in Emergency Services, including planning, coordination, and execution of emergency response and evacuation drills.
- Relevant diploma or degree in fire engineering, safety engineering, or a related field; professional fire safety certifications (e.g., NFPA-based or local equivalent) are an advantage.
- Solid knowledge of applicable fire codes, standards, and HSE regulations, preferably within petroleum, oil and gas, offshore–onshore, or marine environments.
- Proven experience in industrial or infrastructure fire safety roles, with the ability to work on-site and respond promptly to incidents.
- Strong communication and training skills to conduct safety briefings, drills, and awareness programs for diverse teams.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, demonstrate sound judgment under pressure, and maintain detailed documentation and reports.
