- Prepare standalone and consolidated financial statements in compliance with Ind AS
- Ensure timely, accurate MIS and reporting to the CFO and leadership

- Own indirect tax compliance – GST returns, reconciliations and assessments
- Ensure all statutory filings (ROC, tax, regulatory) are completed accurately and on time
- Navigate sector-specific tax and customs considerations relevant to defence manufacturing and exports

Audit & Internal Controls

- Manage statutory and internal audit processes end-to-end – planning, auditor queries and closure of observations
- Design, implement and monitor internal financial controls (IFC) appropriate to a listed entity

- Support the CFO in Audit Committee reporting with accurate, audit-ready information

Accounting Operations

- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger accuracy across group entities
- Own fixed asset registers and capitalisation schedules
- Own inventory valuation and reconciliation, particularly relevant given the group's manufacturing operations
- Manage the accounting ERP/systems, ensuring data integrity and process efficiency

Treasury & Working Capital Support

- Monitor and manage day-to-day cash flow and working capital positions across group entities
- Execute banking and credit facility operations within limits and relationships established by the CFO
- Track working capital cycles specific to long-gestation defence contracts and manufacturing

Costing & Contract Finance Support

- Provide costing inputs for defence-sector contracts
- Support Sales and Technical leadership with costing data for bids and tenders
- Ensure GST, customs and sector-specific tax considerations are correctly reflected in contract costing

Required Candidate Profile

- Chartered Accountant (mandatory).
- 12–15+ years of progressive experience in financial accounting, controllership, or audit, including at least 3–5 years in a Controller or similar leadership role.
- Experience in manufacturing or capital-intensive sectors preferred; defence-sector experience a strong advantage.
- Experience managing multi-entity, multi-location accounting and consolidation.

Technical & Behavioral Skills Required

- Strong working knowledge of Ind AS, direct and indirect tax compliance, and statutory audit processes.
- Hands-on experience with accounting ERP systems.
- High attention to detail and process discipline.
- Comfortable operating within a structure set by the CMD & CFO — executing with rigor rather than setting strategy independently.
