Job Overview The F&B; Controller will play a key role in managing the financial operations of the Food & Beverage department, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, budgeting, cost control and inventory management.
The role requires strong knowledge of F&B; financial management , financial reporting and cost-control practices, along with an understanding of F&B; operations and a focus on optimizing financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly and monthly financial reports for the F&B; department.
- Monitor and analyze F&B; revenue and costs.
- Ensure accuracy and consistency in financial reporting.
Budget Management
- Assist in the development of the annual F&B; budget.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted figures.
- Support financial planning and forecasting activities.
Cost Control & Inventory Management
- Oversee F&B; inventory management and stock control.
- Conduct regular stock counts and ensure accurate inventory records.
- Monitor F&B; costs and ensure established cost-control procedures are followed.
- Maintain optimal inventory levels and identify areas for cost optimization.
Collaboration & Operational Improvement
- Work closely with F&B; department heads to streamline financial and operational processes.
- Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve financial performance.
- Support F&B; teams in maintaining effective cost-control practices.
Auditing & Compliance
- Perform periodic audits of F&B; financial and inventory-related activities.
- Ensure proper accounting practices are followed.
- Support compliance with applicable financial standards and internal procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field .
- 4+ years of experience in F&B; financial management, Hotel/Catering or a related hospitality role .
- Robust understanding of financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel .
- Knowledge of F&B; industry standards and cost-control techniques.
- Previous experience with ERP systems or specialized F&B; management software is preferred.
