Role Description The Fashion Design Faculty role is a full-time, on-site position based at the Kolkata campus. The faculty member will design and deliver curriculum-aligned lectures, practical studio sessions, and workshops in fashion design, ensuring students develop strong conceptual, technical, and creative skills.

Responsibilities include mentoring students on design projects, guiding portfolio development, evaluating assignments and examinations, and providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement. The role also involves organizing industry interactions such as guest lectures and seminars, supporting placement-related activities,



and contributing to course development to keep content aligned with current industry trends. The faculty member will collaborate with colleagues to maintain academic quality, participate in institutional events, and uphold a professional, inclusive learning workplace.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in fashion design, including garment construction, pattern making, textile knowledge, and fashion illustration,Fashion Styling,Drapping,Cad,Graphics Design,Fashion Marchandising.
- Experience in creative concept development, trend research, and translating ideas into design collections and portfolios.
- Proficiency in classroom teaching, lesson planning, and student assessment, with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
- Comfort with design tools and technology (e.g., CAD for fashion, digital illustration software) and willingness to adopt new teaching technologies.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and learner-centered teaching.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fashion Design or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
- Relevant industry experience in fashion design, merchandising, or related roles; prior teaching or training experience is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively with academic teams, manage multiple academic responsibilities,Fashion design walk in Counselling or Demo class handling and maintain professional ethics.
