Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Estimation Engineer with experience in civil construction and real estate projects. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate quantity estimates, BOQs, cost analysis, rate analysis, and tender documentation to support project planning and budgeting.

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential and commercial construction projects.
2. Study and interpret architectural, structural, and civil drawings to calculate quantities.
3. Prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for various civil construction activities.
4. Calculate quantities for RCC, steel, concrete, excavation, masonry, plastering, waterproofing, and finishing works.
5. Prepare and verify Bar Bending Schedules (BBS) and reinforcement steel quantities.
6. Conduct rate analysis for materials, labour, equipment, and construction activities.
7. Prepare project budgets and cost estimates based on drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
8. Obtain and compare quotations from vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
9. Assist in tender preparation, cost comparisons, and commercial documentation.
10. Coordinate with the Purchase, Contracts, Billing, and Site Engineering teams for quantity and cost verification.
11. Verify contractor bills, measurements,



and work quantities against BOQs and site records.
12. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or project specifications.
13. Maintain estimation sheets, BOQs, rate analysis, and cost-related records.
14. Revise estimates based on changes in drawings, project specifications, or site requirements.
15. Support project planning and management teams with cost reports and budget updates.
16. Ensure accuracy and timely completion of estimation-related assignments.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of civil construction estimation and quantity surveying.
- Expertise in BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, and rate analysis.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Knowledge of RCC, steel, concrete, masonry, plastering, and finishing estimates.
- Experience in BBS preparation and material quantity calculations.
- Knowledge of construction costing, tendering, and vendor quotation comparison.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
- Good analytical, numerical, communication, and coordination skills.
- Robust attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Educational Qualification
- Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Preferred Experience
- Experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise building construction.
- Experience in real estate project estimation, BOQ preparation, and cost control.
- Knowledge of contractor billing and quantity verification will be an added advantage.
