SKD Interiors India Private Limited is a growing commercial interior fit-out company based in Kochi, Kerala, undertaking complete interior execution for hospitals, hotels, corporate offices, showrooms, commercial buildings, residential and large-scale projects.
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Estimation Engineer – Interior Fit-Out & Tendering who can independently handle the complete estimation and tendering process, from drawing and tender document study to BOQ preparation, quantity take-off, rate analysis, costing, quotation preparation and final tender submission.
Important Requirement
Interior fit-out experience is mandatory.
We are strictly looking for candidates with professional experience in the interior fit-out industry.

Candidates whose experience is mainly in general civil construction, roads, infrastructure or unrelated estimation work will not be considered unless they have substantial professional experience specifically in interior fit-out estimation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tender and Project Document Study
- Study and understand complete tender documents, RFQs, drawings and specifications.
- Review scope of work, technical specifications and commercial requirements.
- Study architectural, interior, ceiling, flooring, furniture and joinery drawings.
- Identify complete project scope, exclusions, assumptions and missing information.
- Review tender terms, conditions and submission requirements.
- Prepare tender requirement checklists.
1. BOQ Preparation
- Prepare detailed and accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs).
- Carry out quantity take-offs from drawings, BOQs and tender documents.
- Prepare quantities for materials, labour, hardware, accessories and installation.
- Ensure correct item descriptions and specifications.
- Cross-check BOQ quantities with drawings and specifications.
- Identify missing items, scope gaps, duplications and discrepancies.
- Prepare revised BOQs whenever drawings or specifications change.
1. Quantity Take-Off
The candidate should have practical knowledge of quantity calculation for:
- Gypsum partitions

The candidate should understand the difference between material cost, execution cost, project cost, overheads and final quotation value.
1. Rate Analysis
Carry out detailed rate analysis for interior works by considering:
- Material rates
- Labour rates
- Installation charges

- Site conditions

- Company overheads
- Required margins
Maintain and regularly update market rates and historical project rates.
1. Quotation Preparation
- Prepare professional project-wise quotations.
- Convert BOQs and estimates into commercial quotations.
- Prepare item-wise pricing.
- Clearly mention specifications and scope.
- Prepare inclusions, exclusions and assumptions.
- Prepare revised quotations based on client requirements.
- Ensure quotations are accurate, commercially practical and professionally presented.
1. Tendering and Tender Submission
The candidate must have hands-on experience in complete tendering activities, including:
- Studying tender documents.
- Reviewing drawings and specifications.
- Reviewing client BOQs.
- Preparing quantity take-offs.
- Preparing detailed estimates.
- Obtaining vendor and subcontractor quotations.
- Carrying out rate analysis.
- Preparing tender pricing.
- Preparing commercial offers.
- Completing tender BOQs.
- Preparing required schedules and supporting documents.
- Preparing inclusions, exclusions and assumptions.
- Identifying deviations and clarifications.
- Completing technical and commercial tender requirements.

1. Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination
- Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Compare quotations based on price, specification and scope.
- Prepare comparative statements.
- Negotiate pricing wherever required.
- Verify whether quotations cover the complete scope.
- Identify abnormal or unrealistic rates.
- Maintain vendor and subcontractor rate databases.
- Track current market prices.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Team for pricing inputs.

Experience Requirement 7–10+ years of experience
Mandatory: Strong professional experience specifically in Interior Fit-Out Estimation and Tendering.
