Equity Research Associate - Institutional Equities

We are looking for an Equity Research Associate to join our Institutional Equity Research team in Mumbai.

The role will involve conducting fundamental research, analysing companies and industries, supporting the development of investment theses, and contributing to high-quality research for institutional clients.

Coverage: IT Sector

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct detailed fundamental research on companies within the IT sector.
- Analyse financial statements, business models, industry trends and competitive positioning.
- Build and maintain financial models, forecasts and valuation frameworks.
- Track company developments, earnings, management commentary and key industry trends.
- Assist in preparing initiation reports, result updates, sector reports and thematic research.
- Support senior analysts in developing differentiated investment ideas and research views.
- Participate in management interactions, investor calls and industry discussions.
- Monitor market developments and identify potential investment opportunities.
- Present research findings and investment insights clearly through written reports and presentations.

What We're Looking For

- 1–5 years of relevant experience in Equity Research, preferably with a reputed sell-side research firm.
- Robust understanding of fundamental equity research and financial analysis.
- Experience or strong interest in covering the IT sector.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, valuation methodologies and business fundamentals.
- Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.




- Ability to work independently, think critically and develop differentiated research insights.

Strong proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Qualifications

- CA, CFA (Levels cleared count), or MBA from a reputed institution preferred.
- Other relevant graduate/postgraduate qualifications may also be considered based on relevant experience.
