We are hiring an Equity Research Analyst on behalf of our client. This role involves conducting in-depth research and analysis on public companies and sectors to generate actionable investment insights and recommendations. It's a great prospect for someone analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about capital markets and financial research.

Role & responsibilities

- Study companies in detail their financial reports, how their business works, and how they compare to competitors
- Build and update financial models to predict future earnings, revenue, and company value
- Work out how much a company is worth using methods like DCF and comparing it to similar companies
- Keep track of industry trends, market performance, and economic factors that affect the stocks you follow
- Write research reports and give clear recommendations (Buy, Hold, or Sell)
- Listen to company earnings calls and read their financial filings and reports to stay updated
- Talk to company management, industry experts,



and investors to gather insights
- Share your research and investment ideas with portfolio managers and clients
- Keep earnings models, data, and research files updated and organized

Preferred candidate profile

- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Commerce, or a related field (MBA or CFA is a plus)
- Good understanding of financial statements, company valuation, and basic accounting
- Strong skills in MS Excel (for financial models) and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of valuation methods like DCF and comparing companies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good writing and speaking skills to prepare reports and present ideas clearly
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple companies at once, and meet deadlines
- A genuine interest in the stock market, companies, and the economy
