Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrician role based in Chennai. The Electrician will install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment in facilities managed by Jerson Facilities. Daily responsibilities include performing routine inspections, diagnosing faults, troubleshooting electrical issues, and executing corrective actions in a safe and timely manner.

The role also involves reading and interpreting technical drawings and electrical schematics, following safety regulations and company procedures, and coordinating with other maintenance staff and supervisors. The Electrician will document work performed, keep tools and materials organized,



and support preventive maintenance schedules to reduce downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong practical skills in Electricity and Electrical Work, including safe handling of wiring, circuits, and electrical components.
- Candidates should possess skills in Maintenance & Repair to perform routine servicing, corrective repairs, and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and equipment.
- Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to identify, diagnose, and resolve electrical faults efficiently and accurately.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Electrical Engineering to understand system design, load calculations, and technical specifications.
- Relevant technical diploma, trade certification, or ITI in electrical or a related field is preferred.
- Prior experience as an Electrician in facilities, industrial, or commercial environments is beneficial.
- Knowledge of local electrical codes, safety standards, and use of testing instruments and power tools.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, including occasional shifts or emergency call-outs as required.
- Strong attention to detail, adherence to safety practices, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
