About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and technically sound Electrical Engineer with 1–3 years of experience in electrical substation projects. The candidate will be responsible for supporting the planning, design coordination, execution, installation, testing, and commissioning activities of electrical substations.

The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of substation equipment, electrical drawings, site execution, and coordination with project teams, contractors, and clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist in the planning, design, and execution of electrical substation projects (66 kV, 110 kV, 132 kV, 220 kV or other voltage levels).
- Read and interpret electrical single-line diagrams (SLD), general arrangement (GA) drawings, schematic diagrams, and layout drawings.
- Coordinate installation and erection activities for power transformers, circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, PTs/CVTs, lightning arresters, busbars, and other substation equipment.
- Support cable laying, cable termination, control panel installation, and earthing system activities.
- Monitor site progress and ensure execution as per approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, design engineers, contractors, vendors, and site teams.
- Assist in material planning, technical documentation, BOQ preparation, and material inspection.
- Participate in equipment inspection, pre-commissioning checks, testing, and commissioning activities.
- Prepare daily progress reports, site measurement records,



and project documentation.
- Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures and applicable technical standards.
- Support troubleshooting and resolve technical issues encountered during project execution.

Technical Skills Required

- Basic knowledge of electrical substation equipment and systems.
- Understanding of single-line diagrams, electrical layouts, and control schematics.
- Familiarity with power transformers, circuit breakers, CTs, PTs, isolators, busbars, and protection systems.
- Basic knowledge of electrical testing and commissioning procedures.
- Knowledge of earthing, lightning protection, and cable installation.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Excel.
- Basic understanding of relevant IS, IEC, and project-specific electrical standards.

Experience Requirements

- Fresh graduates with relevant internship or site training may also be considered.
- Experience in 33 kV to 220 kV substation projects will be an added advantage.
