About the Job The Royal Electric Company, an established electrical consulting and contracting firm with over 85 years of experience, is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical & ELV AutoCAD Engineer/draughtsman to join our team in Mumbai.

The candidate will be responsible for preparing, coordinating and updating detailed electrical and ELV drawings for high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, temple, institutional and other projects.

This role requires strong AutoCAD skills, a good understanding of electrical and ELV systems, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate drawings with architects, interior designers, MEP consultants, automation teams and site execution teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare detailed electrical layouts using AutoCAD.
- Prepare lighting, power, wiring and cable routing layouts.
- Prepare electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and schematic drawings.
- Prepare electrical distribution board and panel layouts.
- Prepare and finalise connected load schedules and load calculations.
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings for residential and commercial projects.
- Prepare ELV system layouts, including:
- Home automation and control systems
- Audio & Video / Home Theatre systems
- Wi-Fi and networking
- Telephony
- CCTV surveillance
- Data and structured cabling
- Access control and other ELV systems
- Prepare automation DB details, rack layouts and equipment rack details.
- Prepare 3D drawings and basic 3D layouts for AV systems using SketchUp, including speaker, display, projector, equipment and rack positioning.
- Prepare cable schedules, equipment schedules and other project documentation.
- Coordinate electrical and ELV drawings with architectural, interior, HVAC, plumbing, fire and other MEP drawings.
- Review drawings and identify clashes, coordination issues and discrepancies before execution.
- Incorporate site changes and prepare as-built drawings.
- Visit project sites when required for measurements,



coordination and drawing verification.
- Coordinate with project managers, consultants, architects, designers, vendors and site teams.
- Assist the execution team by providing clear and technically accurate drawings.

Skills & Technical Knowledge
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
- Good understanding of electrical systems, wiring, lighting, power distribution and containment.
- Understanding of electrical drawings, symbols, SLDs and schematic diagrams.
- Working knowledge of ELV systems and their layouts.
- Understanding of structured cabling, networking, Wi-Fi, CCTV, AV and automation systems will be an advantage.
- Basic working knowledge of SketchUp is required, particularly for preparing simple 3D drawings and layouts for AV systems, such as speaker placement, TV/display positioning, projector layouts, equipment racks and other AV equipment.
- Basic knowledge of lighting design and lighting layouts will be an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, interior and MEP drawings.
- Good understanding of electrical and ELV coordination.
- Ability to prepare accurate drawings from design concepts, sketches and site information.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain drawing accuracy.
- Good technical, mathematical and problem-solving skills.

Experience
- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in electrical AutoCAD drafting/design is preferred.
- Experience working on multiple project sites will be an advantage.
- Candidates with experience in high-end residential, commercial, hospitality, AV, automation or ELV projects will be preferred.

Qualification




- Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field will be an added advantage.
- Alternatively, candidates with an AutoCAD Electrical Drafting certification/course and relevant practical experience may apply.
- Robust written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, architects and site teams.

Project Sites: Various locations across Mumbai

Candidates residing in Mumbai are preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
