S M Yoga Research Institute, Vrindavan is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving, researching, teaching, and sharing the authentic science and philosophy of Yoga. Founded in 1976 by Acharya Dharmnath Shastri, the Institute is rooted in the spiritual traditions of Vrindavan, India, while engaging with communities around the world.
The Institute offers Yoga education and teacher training, Hatha Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation, Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, and research initiatives. Through workshops, retreats, festivals, and cultural exchanges, it seeks to connect the timeless wisdom of Yoga with contemporary approaches to health, well-being, and conscious living.
Its flagship International Yoga Festival in Vrindavan brings together practitioners, teachers, seekers, and wellness communities from around the world, creating a space for learning, connection, cultural exchange, and transformation.
Role Description The Volunteer Digital Content Creator will help bring the vision and work of S M Yoga Research Institute and the International Yoga Festival to a global audience through creative digital storytelling.
This is a fully remote volunteer role , open to creative individuals from anywhere in the world. The role involves developing engaging digital content for social media, online campaigns, websites, and promotional activities, helping communicate the Institute’s work in Yoga, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, and holistic well-being to international audiences.
The volunteer will collaborate remotely with the Institute’s team, teachers, facilitators, and program coordinators to create authentic and inspiring content and support the promotion of workshops, retreats, festivals, and other initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Create engaging social media posts, Reels, Stories, and short-form videos .
- Develop graphics, banners, flyers, infographics, and other digital visuals .
- Support social media planning, scheduling, community engagement, and online outreach .
- Create and edit digital content that communicates the Institute’s mission, programs, and events.
- Support promotional campaigns for the International Yoga Festival Vrindavan , workshops, retreats, and other programs.
- Help develop compelling stories and content that connect Yoga, Ayurveda, and Naturopathy with a global audience.
- Collaborate remotely with team members in India and internationally.
- Contribute creative ideas to strengthen the Institute’s digital presence and international community.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated interest or experience in digital content creation, social media, graphic design, photography, videography, marketing, or digital storytelling .
- Ability to create engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and other digital platforms.
- Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Express, CapCut, Adobe Creative Cloud, or mobile editing applications is an advantage.
- Solid visual storytelling and communication skills.
- Good written and spoken English ; additional languages are welcome.
- Creative, proactive, reliable, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with an international and multicultural team.
- Interest in Yoga, Ayurveda, Naturopathy, holistic health, spirituality, culture, or conscious living is highly beneficial.
- Relevant experience in communications, media, design, marketing, or content creation is an advantage, but passion, creativity, and willingness to contribute are equally valued .
