Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Diamond Grader to evaluate and grade diamonds according to established gemological standards and laboratory procedures. The candidate will be responsible for assessing the 4Cs—Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat Weight—and ensuring accurate, consistent, and unbiased grading results.

Key Responsibilities

- Examine and grade polished diamonds for color, clarity, cut, and carat weight.
- Assess diamond characteristics using standard gemological equipment and laboratory procedures.
- Identify and document inclusions, blemishes, treatments, and other identifying characteristics.
- Evaluate proportions, symmetry, polish, fluorescence, and other relevant grading parameters.
- Perform accurate weight and measurement calculations.
- Maintain consistency and precision in grading according to IGI laboratory standards.
- Prepare and verify grading information for diamond reports/certificates.
- Handle diamonds securely and maintain strict confidentiality and accountability.
- Coordinate with senior graders and laboratory teams when required.
- Stay updated on grading standards,



diamond treatments, laboratory practices, and industry developments.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy while meeting laboratory productivity requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Diploma/degree in Gemology, Diamond Grading, or a related field.
- Practical experience in diamond grading is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the 4Cs and diamond grading terminology.
- Good visual observation and attention to detail.
- Ability to identify inclusions and clarity characteristics accurately.
- Knowledge of diamond treatments and synthetics is an advantage.
- Good hand-eye coordination and concentration.
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team.
- High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and skilled ethics.

Preferred Experience

- Experience with a recognized gemological laboratory or diamond grading organization.
- Familiarity with laboratory grading equipment and grading workflows.
- Experience grading a wide range of diamond sizes, shapes, colors, and clarities.
