About the Role

VGS Industries is hiring an experienced Die Fitter for its Tool Room. The role is focused on fitting, assembly, maintenance, repair and modification of plastic injection moulds. We are looking for a hands-on fitter who can read drawings, work accurately to tolerances and support mould trials and troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities

· Fit, assemble and disassemble plastic injection mould components as per drawings and instructions.

· Perform fitting, finishing, spotting, alignment and polishing of mould components.

· Support maintenance, repair and modification of cores, cavities, inserts, ejector systems, sliders and other mould mechanisms.

· Identify and correct common mould issues such as flash, mismatch, improper movement, wear and cooling leakage.

· Operate or work with conventional tool-room machines such as milling, grinding, drilling and lathe as required.

· Use Vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges and other measuring instruments accurately.

· Support mould trials and carry out corrections under the guidance of the Tool Room Head / senior tool maker.

· Maintain 5S, tool care and safety standards in the Tool Room.

Required Qualification & Experience

Qualification: ITI Fitter / Tool & Die / Machinist or equivalent practical tool-room qualification

Experience: 3-6 years

Must-have Skills





· 3-6 years of hands-on die/mould fitting experience, preferably with plastic injection moulds.

· Ability to read engineering drawings and understand dimensions and tolerances.

· Strong practical fitting, alignment, finishing and troubleshooting skills.

· Working knowledge of conventional tool-room machines and measuring instruments.

Preferred / Added Advantage

· Experience in an injection-moulding manufacturing company or dedicated mould/tool room.

· Basic knowledge of mould materials, heat treatment and CAD drawings.
