The Zonal EHS in-charge shall assist the EHS HOC in the establishment, monitoring of implementation, maintenance and development of EHS arrangements required for the projects of the company under his area. Performs variety of functions for ensuring EHSMS establishment and maintenance across LODHA projects under his area.

Actively supports and coordinates with project EHS teams for implementation of EHSMS to achieve set EHS objectives and targets. Performs the Zonal EHS in-charge role at Projects adhering to LODHAs overall policy and procedures with due diligence, commitment, and be result oriented, positive and pro-active.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

- Contribute in the development of LODHA’s short term and long term strategies;
- Assist in setting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and their application as a tool for Pro-active approach for their continual improvement process.
- Ensure compliance with LODHA’s Policy, Procedures and systems; ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, applicable legal requirements, across LODHA operations by providing timely and effective support.
- Assist EHS Head in providing guidance, support and advise management on the following. • Development of the EHS arrangements • Legal and contractual requirements affecting EHS • Changes/trends in EHS requirements • Review and check work practices.
- Provide EHS inputs and technical expertise in tendering process to ensure adherence to EHS Policy and Procedures, and achievement of optimum benefits to the organisation.
- Contribute in evaluation of Sub-contractors, vendors & suppliers in terms of EHS Performance
- Develop Review and Update EHS procedures and other documents in order to meet requirements. Viz. legal, Client, business needs others.




- Develop general awareness on EHS systems and issues to an acceptable level in line with LODHA EHSMS.
- Maintain effective business relationships with internal and external customers with highest standards of business ethics, whilst promptly attending to critical issues in order to ensure the services are delivered in the most effective manner.
- Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of EHS Systems, processes and practices considering business processes improvement, cost reduction and productivity improvement.
- Any other additional tasks and responsibilities assigned to cope up with organizational changes and operational needs.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum qualifications required : • Masters/Graduate/Diploma in EHS or Engineering • NEBOSH National / International Diploma or Certified Safety Skilled or PG Diploma/ Diploma in Safety /NEBOSH National/International General Certificate ;

Minimum experience: 15 Years of which at least 10 years of experience shall be in Major engineering and construction company with reputed major companies.

Job-specific skills required :

• Demonstrated ability to multi task and work in fast paced setting.

• Auditing, Training, Investigation, EHS Management, Evaluation, Presentation, etc.

• Ability to work to a very high level of detail and accuracy • Possess overall knowledge of activities/functions in high-rise and commercial projects.

• Possess advanced knowledge in EHS as applicable to high-rise and commercial projects.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.

• Possess strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

• Insight – ability to identify, anticipate and advise on technical issues.

• Tolerance of Stress – ability to maintain stable performance under pressure and/or adversity.
