Role: DevOps Engineer/Mentor

Nature of Job: Full-time

Overview :

We are looking for a passionate DevOps Mentor with 3+ years of industry experience and proven exposure to mentoring or training. The ideal candidate combines strong hands-on DevOps expertise with the ability to teach, guide, and inspire learners from diverse backgrounds. Exposure to AI/ML concepts, tools, or AI-assisted development workflows will be a solid advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

- Training & Mentorship
- Deliver engaging live sessions (group & 1:1) on DevOps tools, practices, and real-world applications.
- Mentor learners throughout their journey, ensuring consistent progress and skill development.
- Provide personalized guidance, especially for non-technical learners, to help them transition into tech roles.
- Conduct regular follow-ups and doubt-clearing sessions.
- Curriculum & Content Development
- Design and update training programs aligned with industry standards and job requirements.
- Create hands-on, real-time projects that simulate production-level environments.
- Develop assignments, assessments, and evaluation frameworks.
- Continuously improve training materials based on learner feedback and outcomes.




- Learner Progress & Performance Management
- Track and take ownership of individual learner progress.
- Maintain performance reports and provide actionable feedback.
- Identify common skill gaps and implement targeted improvement plans.
- Ensure high course completion rates and learner engagement.
- Industry Alignment & Collaboration
- Connect with industry experts and organize sessions (guest lectures, workshops, etc.).
- Ensure training delivery aligns with curriculum standards and organizational guidelines.
- Stay updated with latest DevOps, Cloud, and AI trends and integrate them into training.
- Operations & Reporting
- Maintain records of attendance, assignments, progress, and issues.
- Report on training effectiveness and suggest improvements.
- Support onboarding and knowledge transfer for new trainers/mentors.

Technical Skills & Requirements

- Core DevOps Skills
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, SDLC, and Agile methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with:
- CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Containerization (Docker) and basic orchestration concepts
- Version control systems (Git, GitHub)
- Configuration management tools (Ansible or similar)
- Cloud & Infrastructure
- Working experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Ability to design and explain basic cloud architectures.




- Exposure to infrastructure automation concepts.
- Programming & Scripting
- Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python preferred).
- Strong logic-building and debugging skills.
- AI Awareness (Preferred)
- Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude) in development workflows.
- Understanding of how AI can be leveraged in DevOps (AIOps, automation, monitoring, etc.).

Preferred / Added Advantages

- AWS/Azure certifications (Foundation / Associate / Professional / Specialty).
- Prior experience as a trainer, mentor, or instructor.
- Experience in building real-world projects or labs for learners.

Soft Skills

- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Empathy and patience while working with diverse learners.
- Proactive attitude and willingness to continuously learn and adapt.

Eligibility Criteria

- Minimum 3+ years of relevant DevOps / Cloud experience.
- Prior mentoring or training experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in Tamil and English (mandatory).
