Community Stack is looking for a Developer Advocate based in Bengaluru to help us build and grow our technical community presence across India.

About Us:

Community Stack operates practitioner-led communities, meetups, leadership forums and conferences across areas including AI & Data, Cloud, Platform Engineering, DevOps, Open Source and Financial Technology .

We're now expanding our community activity into India, starting with Bengaluru, and are looking for someone who is already connected to the local technology ecosystem.

This role combines developer advocacy, community building, technical events and partnerships . You'll have significant ownership over how Community Stack develops in the region.

What you will be doing:

- Organising and running regular technical meetups in Bengaluru.
- Helping us develop larger conferences and technical events in the region.
- Building relationships with developers, engineers, architects, founders and technology leaders.
- Identifying and recruiting great speakers from startups, enterprise organisations and technology companies.
- Developing relationships with companies that can support events through venues, speakers and partnerships.
- Representing Community Stack at meetups, conferences and other technology events.
- Building relationships with existing developer communities and community organisers across Bengaluru and India.
- Helping curate technically strong event programmes and calls for speakers.
- Creating and supporting community content around events, speakers and technical topics.
- Identifying emerging technologies, communities and organisations that Community Stack should be working with.




- Helping us identify opportunities to expand into other major technology hubs across India.

What we are looking for: Existing experience of running developer communities, meetups or conferences is strongly preferred .

We're particularly interested in people who:

- Have a strong network within the Bengaluru technology ecosystem.
- Have organised meetups, conferences, hackathons or developer community events.
- Have a technical background in areas such as software engineering, cloud, DevOps, platform engineering, AI/data, open source or developer relations.
- Understand technical audiences and can comfortably engage with engineers and senior technology leaders.
- Are confident speaking publicly and hosting events.
- Are good at building relationships with speakers, community leaders and technology companies.
- Are proactive and comfortable taking ownership of projects.
- Understand how to build authentic technical communities rather than simply promoting events.

You could currently be working as a: Developer Advocate, Developer Relations Engineer, Software Engineer, Platform Engineer, Cloud Engineer, Technical Community Manager, Community Lead, Meetup Organiser or Conference Organiser.

We're less interested in having the perfect job title and more interested in finding someone who understands technology, knows the local ecosystem and genuinely enjoys bringing technical communities together.

Working Arrangement:

The role will initially be part-time and flexible , but we would consider making the position full-time for the right person .

You will need to be based in or around Bengaluru , with some evening availability required for meetups and events.

As our activity in India grows, there may also be opportunities to travel and support events in other cities.
