Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement activities for plant requirements covering Electrical, Mechanical, Instrumentation, CAPEX, OPEX, consumables, spares and services.
- Handle domestic and import procurement, including coordination for import documentation, customs clearance, freight forwarders and logistics.
- Identify, evaluate and develop recent vendors/OEMs/authorized dealers to strengthen the supplier base.
- Conduct RFQ, quotation analysis, commercial negotiation, vendor evaluation and order finalization to achieve optimum cost, quality and delivery.
- Drive cost reduction, alternate vendor development and alternate product development initiatives.
- Negotiate and finalize Annual/Long-Term Rate Contracts with OEMs and authorized suppliers.
- Monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, material availability and price movements to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Coordinate with Production, Maintenance, Electrical, Instrumentation, Engineering, Projects,



Stores and Finance for timely procurement and material availability.
- Handle urgent/ad-hoc procurement requirements while ensuring commercial effectiveness and timely delivery.
- Monitor Purchase Requisition (PR) to Purchase Order (PO) cycle, open orders and procurement lead time.
- Manage vendor performance, including quality, delivery, commercial performance and supplier development.
- Maintain procurement documentation including quotation evaluation, rate approval, purchase orders, vendor records and related commercial documents.
- Support supplier audits, internal/external audits and procurement compliance.
- Prepare procurement MIS, supplier performance reports, cost-saving reports and management presentations.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, SOPs, transparency and commercial controls.
