Job Purpose To lead the overall Maintenance function of the plant, ensuring high equipment reliability, maximum equipment availability, OEE improvement, effective preventive and predictive maintenance, cost optimization, statutory compliance and continuous improvement.
The role will also have significant responsibility for Environmental and ESG performance, particularly energy efficiency, GHG emission reduction, fuel and water consumption reduction, wastewater treatment and resource conservation.
Key ResponsibilitiesA. Maintenance & Reliability
- Lead Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives, including Autonomous Maintenance and Planned Maintenance pillars.
- Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) across production sections and drive improvement actions to enhance equipment availability, performance and quality.
- Plan, prepare and approve Annual Maintenance Plans (AMP) for critical production equipment and ensure effective execution.
- Review and recommend CAPEX proposals for equipment upgrades, modernization, energy efficiency, capacity enhancement and replacement of obsolete equipment.
- Manage the maintenance budget, including spares, contractors, repairs, utilities and maintenance projects, with a focus on cost optimization.
- Implement Predictive Maintenance (PdM) techniques such as vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis and condition monitoring.
- Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major equipment failures and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence.
- Develop and implement preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and improve equipment reliability.
- Ensure availability and effective control of critical spares, tools, equipment and maintenance resources.
- Lead and develop the maintenance team through technical training, capability development and performance management.
B. Energy, Workplace & ESG
- Lead plant-level environmental and ESG improvement initiatives, with specific focus on energy, emissions, water, wastewater and resource efficiency.
- Monitor and drive reduction of GHG emissions, including Scope 1 emissions from fuel consumption and other applicable emission sources.
- Drive fuel consumption reduction through equipment efficiency, process optimization, energy monitoring and replacement of inefficient systems.
- Monitor plant electricity and energy consumption, identify energy-saving opportunities and lead energy conservation projects.
- Prepare and review monthly energy and environmental MIS, including energy consumption, fuel consumption, GHG emissions and key environmental performance indicators.
- Drive water conservation and water consumption reduction through process optimization, leak reduction, reuse/recycling and efficient water management.
- Ensure effective operation and performance of ETP/STP and wastewater treatment systems, including monitoring of treatment performance, preventive maintenance and compliance requirements.
- Support initiatives for waste reduction, resource conservation and improved environmental performance in line with the organization's ESG objectives.
- Identify and implement environmental improvement projects and CAPEX for energy efficiency, emission reduction, water conservation, wastewater treatment and other sustainability initiatives.
- Support the plant in achieving its ESG, environmental targets and GHG reduction objectives through measurable improvement projects.
C. Compliance, Systems & Audits
- Ensure statutory compliance related to pressure vessels, electrical systems, lifting equipment, utility systems and other applicable plant maintenance requirements.
- Support IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 audits by ensuring proper maintenance, calibration, environmental and compliance records.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment and instruments associated with environmental monitoring and utility systems.
- Ensure timely closure of audit findings, environmental observations and maintenance-related non-conformities.
- Promote Kaizen, 5S, TPM, energy conservation and continuous improvement across the plant.

Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
- Additional qualification in Maintenance Management, Energy Management or Environmental Management will be an advantage.
Experience
- 15+ years of relevant experience in Maintenance in an automotive, auto-component or engineering manufacturing environment.
- Solid experience in plant maintenance, TPM, OEE, preventive and predictive maintenance, breakdown management and team leadership.
- Experience in energy management, environmental improvement and ESG-related initiatives will be preferred.
- Experience with IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 environments will be preferred.

The candidate should also demonstrate a strong understanding of environmental sustainability and ESG, particularly energy efficiency, GHG emission reduction, fuel and water conservation, wastewater treatment and resource efficiency.
Experience in the automotive / auto-component manufacturing industry and exposure to TPM, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 will be highly preferred.
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,000,000.00 per year
