Role Summary The Senior Databricks & Snowflake Admin will oversee the administration and governance of the enterprise data platform. They will ensure operational excellence while managing Databricks and Snowflake environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer Databricks workspaces across development, test, and production environments.
- Manage Snowflake accounts, warehouses, databases, and security policies.
- Implement security controls and compliance requirements for data governance.
- Partner with engineering teams to establish platform standards and best practices.
- Lead migration and cleanup initiatives to modernize Databricks governance.
- Own enterprise access governance for Databricks and Snowflake.
- Monitor platform health, performance, and costs.
- Develop operational runbooks and support procedures.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of Databricks administration experience.
- 5+ years of Snowflake administration experience.
- Strong expertise with Unity Catalog governance and security.
- Solid Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
- Deep understanding of RBAC and IAM.
Nice to Have
- Databricks Certified Data Engineer or Platform certifications.
- Snowflake SnowPro Administrator certification.
- Experience with GitOps deployment models.
