Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Snowflake Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable and resilient data pipelines primarily leveraging Snowflake and Azure cloud services. This role plays a critical part in converting complex raw data into actionable business insights, maintaining high data quality, and supporting advanced analytics and reporting platforms like Visier. The ideal candidate will also have strong expertise in efficient data extraction and loading processes, especially from Oracle databases into Snowflake using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).

Key Responsibilities

- Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance ETL/ELT pipelines, efficiently ingesting data from diverse enterprise sources—including Oracle databases—into Snowflake, utilizing Azure services (Fabric OneLake, Azure Blob Storage) and Informatica IICS.
- Manage end-to-end data extraction from Oracle, transformation, and loading to Snowflake, ensuring optimal data freshness, consistency, and accuracy.
- Design and implement advanced Snowflake data models including tables, views, materialized views, and secure views to support scalable analytics and reporting solutions.
- Leverage Snowflake’s advanced SQL capabilities, stored procedures, and Snowpark for complex transformations and data processing workflows.
- Ensure robust data governance by implementing role-based access controls, secure view configurations, and compliance with organizational and regulatory security requirements.
- Enable seamless integration of Snowflake data with Visier and other third-party analytics platforms through optimized data delivery and standardized formats.
- Continuously monitor and optimize data workflows for performance, cost-efficiency, and scalability; proactively troubleshoot and resolve pipeline issues.




- Collaborate cross-functionally with data analysts, business stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Develop comprehensive technical documentation for data models, pipeline architectures, and operational procedures to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.

Required Skills and Experience

- Demonstrated expertise in designing, building, and managing scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines, including strong hands-on experience extracting data from Oracle databases using Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS).
- Deep knowledge of Snowflake data warehousing concepts, including schema design, query performance tuning, and advanced SQL development.
- Proficiency with Azure data ecosystem services, especially Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and related storage solutions.
- Experience implementing complex data transformations in Snowflake, including materialized and secure views to deliver performant and secure data models.
- Proven track record of integrating Snowflake with third-party analytics platforms such as Visier, ensuring accurate and timely data consumption.
- Strong awareness and application of data governance, security best practices, and compliance standards in data engineering workflows.
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and an ability to operate effectively in a collaborative team setting.
- Strong communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with version control systems, particularly Git, for managing code and collaboration.
- Background in ELT workflows using Informatica products.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python for data automation and manipulation tasks.
- Exposure to reporting, analytics frameworks, and business intelligence tools.
