- Core Responsibilities Setup: Mount and dress grinding wheels; align workpieces between centers or in chucks using dial indicators.
- Operation: Manually control feed rates, wheel speeds, and depth of cut for OD, ID, taper, and shoulder grinding.
Inspection: Measure
- workpieces continuously using micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers to hold tight tolerances (pm 0.0001text{ inches}).
- Maintenance: Lubricate machine ways, clean coolant sumps, and perform ring-tests on wheels for safety.
