Role Description The Coordinator of Volunteers is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune District. This position is responsible for recruiting, onboarding, and scheduling volunteers to support organizational projects and community initiatives. Day-to-day tasks include organizing and delivering volunteer training sessions, maintaining accurate volunteer records, and providing ongoing support and guidance to volunteers.
The coordinator will collaborate with internal teams to identify volunteer needs, plan outreach activities, and ensure volunteers are effectively engaged and recognized. The role also involves building relationships with local community partners, monitoring volunteer performance, and continuously improving volunteer programs to align with Gowebs’ mission and values.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Volunteer Management and Volunteer Training to effectively recruit, train, and retain volunteers.
- Candidates should possess strong Interpersonal Skills and Communication abilities to build rapport, provide clear guidance, and foster a positive volunteer experience.
- Candidates should possess skills in Community Outreach to develop partnerships, promote opportunities, and engage diverse volunteer groups.
- Experience coordinating volunteers or community programs in a nonprofit, corporate social responsibility, or community setting is beneficial.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and maintain accurate documentation.
- Proficiency with basic office software and volunteer management tools or databases is advantageous.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and demonstrate cultural sensitivity and inclusivity.
- A relevant diploma or degree in social work, management, communications, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
