We are seeking a qualified and patient-focused Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose and manage common vision conditions, prescribe corrective lenses, and educate patients on eye health and vision care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive eye examinations and vision assessments.
- Evaluate visual acuity, refraction, binocular vision, and eye health.
- Diagnose and manage common refractive and ocular conditions within the scope of practice.
- Prescribe spectacles and contact lenses as appropriate.
- Perform relevant clinical tests and interpret results.
- Identify signs of eye disease and refer patients to ophthalmologists or other specialists when required.
- Provide guidance on eye care, contact lens use, and preventive eye health.
- Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation.
- Explain examination findings and treatment options clearly to patients.
- Work collaboratively with ophthalmologists, opticians, and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintain professional standards, patient confidentiality, and clinic safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Optometry (B.Optom) or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Valid skilled registration/licensure as required by the relevant jurisdiction.
- Strong clinical and communication skills.
- Good patient-handling and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with electronic medical/optometry records is an advantage.
