Role Description The Chief Technology Officer (Canada, Australia & Germany) will provide strategic and operational leadership for all technology initiatives supporting Esse India’s immigration and visa consulting services. This full-time, on-site role based in Chennai involves defining and implementing IT strategy, overseeing software and product development, and ensuring that technology platforms are secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals in the Canada, Australia, and Germany markets. The CTO will lead cross-functional technology teams, manage project portfolios, and collaborate closely with business, operations, and compliance stakeholders to enhance client-facing digital experiences and internal efficiency.

Day-to-day responsibilities include directing system architecture, guiding technology roadmaps, evaluating and integrating recent tools, establishing best practices for development and delivery, and monitoring technology performance and risk.



The role also includes mentoring team members, managing vendors, and contributing to long-term innovation and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong skills in Software Development and Product Development to design, build, and evolve scalable technology solutions.
- Candidates should possess proven Project Management skills to oversee multiple initiatives, manage timelines and budgets, and coordinate cross-functional teams.
- Candidates should possess expertise in IT Strategy and Architecture to define technology roadmaps, design robust systems, and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Candidates should possess experience leading technology organizations, including team leadership, mentoring, and performance management.
- Advanced understanding of security, data protection, and compliance in technology environments; experience in professional services or consulting domains is an advantage.

- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; prior experience in a senior technology leadership role (e.g., CTO, VP Engineering, Head of Technology) is preferred.
- Global mindset and familiarity with technology considerations for international operations, particularly in Canada, Australia, and Germany, is beneficial.
