About the role

AIMER Business School is looking for a hands-on Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead the end-to-end functioning of our main branch in Kozhikode. Reporting directly to the CEO, the COO will take full ownership of academics, operations, people, student experience, administration, systems, and branch performance.

This is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Kozhikode. We are looking for a builder who can create clarity, lead teams, establish solid systems, and make sure every part of the institute operates to a high standard.

Key responsibilities

- Lead the complete day-to-day functioning of AIMER’s main Kozhikode branch.
- Own academic operations, including academic calendars, timetables, faculty allocation, classroom standards, assessments, student progress, and quality of delivery.
- Recruit, lead, coach, and hold accountable academic and non-academic teams.
- Oversee admissions coordination, student onboarding, student support, retention, parent/student communication, and placement support.
- Build, document, and improve SOPs, workflows, dashboards, review rhythms, and performance metrics across every function.
- Coordinate branch budgets, forecasts, cost control, procurement, vendor management, facilities, and administrative execution.
- Ensure compliance, safety, documentation, data discipline, and institutional standards.
- Identify operational gaps and risks early, solve problems quickly,



and continuously improve productivity and student experience.
- Partner closely with the CEO on strategy, priorities, growth initiatives, brand standards, and long-term expansion.
- Translate leadership decisions into clear execution plans and measurable results at branch level.
- Build a high-performance, values-led culture that puts learners, faculty, and outcomes first.

What we are looking for

- Proven senior leadership experience in education, training, higher education, edtech, or a similar multi-function service organization.
- Strong experience managing academic operations and end-to-end business operations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a campus, branch, business unit, institute, or large operational team.
- Excellent people leadership, planning, budgeting, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- A strong ownership mindset and the ability to move between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills and confidence working with students, parents, faculty, partners, and leadership.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, founder-led environment and reporting directly to the CEO.
- Willingness to work full-time on-site in Kozhikode.
