Role Description :
The CFO’s Office – Strategy & Finance role at TrueFan AI is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. The role will work closely with the CFO and business teams across financial controllership, cost management, client finance, collections, and business performance.
The individual will be responsible for managing key finance operations, including accounts receivable, billing, collections, reconciliations, cost tracking, working capital, and cash-flow management.
The role will involve working closely with enterprise clients, Sales, Customer Success, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely billing, resolution of financial queries, and collection of outstanding payments.
The role will also support the CFO on financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, business analysis, and strategic financial decisions, while helping strengthen finance processes and controls as the organization scales.
Key Responsibilities :
- Own and monitor cost controllership, including tracking expenses, identifying variances, and driving cost efficiency.
- Manage accounts receivable, billing, collections, and receivables reconciliation across enterprise clients.
- Work directly with clients and internal stakeholders to resolve billing, payment, reconciliation, and commercial queries.
- Drive timely collections and follow up on outstanding and overdue receivables.
- Partner with Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure accurate billing and smooth financial closure of client engagements.
- Monitor working capital and cash flows and highlight potential risks or improvement opportunities.
- Prepare MIS, financial reports, cost analysis, and business performance reports for the CFO and leadership team.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis,
and financial planning.
- Build financial models and business cases to support business decisions, pricing, investments, and new initiatives.
- Strengthen financial controls, processes, reconciliations, and reporting mechanisms.
- Support board, investor, and management reporting as required.
- Work closely with the CFO and senior leadership on strategic finance and business decisions.
Qualifications :
- CA is mandatory, with 3–6 years of relevant experience in Finance, Controllership, Business Finance, or Corporate Finance.
- Strong hands-on experience in AR, collections, billing, receivables, and financial reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of cost control, expense management, working capital, and cash-flow management.
- Experience handling enterprise clients and managing financial/commercial discussions with customers.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to work closely with Sales, Customer Success, Operations, and senior leadership.
- Experience working closely with a CFO, Founder, or senior finance leadership is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in Excel and financial reporting/MIS.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, and variance analysis is a plus.
- Experience in B2B SaaS, AI, technology, or other high-growth businesses is preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with strong attention to detail and ownership.
- Ability to operate independently and effectively in a quick-paced, high-growth setting.
