Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and responsible Cath Lab Technician to assist cardiologists and the cath lab team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The candidate will be responsible for preparing the cath lab, assisting during procedures, handling equipment, maintaining sterile techniques, and ensuring patient safety.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare the Cath Lab, equipment, instruments, and consumables before procedures.
- Assist cardiologists and other clinical staff during cardiac procedures.
- Assist in procedures such as Coronary Angiography (CAG), PTCA/PCI, angioplasty, stenting, and other interventional procedures.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures as per hospital protocols.
- Maintain strict aseptic and sterile techniques during procedures.
- Handle and prepare catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, contrast media, and other required materials.
- Operate and assist with Cath Lab equipment as per training and hospital protocols.
- Monitor and record relevant patient/procedure information during the procedure.
- Assist in maintaining and checking emergency equipment, including crash cart and defibrillator.
- Ensure availability and proper handling of cath lab consumables and instruments.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and use appropriate protective equipment.
- Assist with cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and preparation of the Cath Lab after procedures.




- Maintain proper documentation, procedure records, and inventory records.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, anesthesia staff, radiology/technical staff, and other departments.
- Follow hospital infection-control, patient-safety, and quality protocols.
- Respond appropriately during emergencies and assist the clinical team as required.

Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Cath Lab procedures and equipment.
- Knowledge of CAG, PTCA/PCI, angioplasty, and stenting procedures.
- Knowledge of sterile/aseptic techniques.
- Basic understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology.
- Good patient-handling and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively during emergency and high-pressure situations.
- Positive teamwork and coordination skills.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and infection-control practices.

Qualification B.Sc. / Diploma in Cath Lab Technology, Cardiovascular Technology, or equivalent qualification.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in a Cath Lab / Cardiology department preferred.

Freshers with relevant qualification and clinical training may also be considered.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
