As CAPEX User Lead – FGP / Finished Goods Packaging, you will represent the business throughout medium and complex investment projects, ensuring packaging, warehousing, logistics, and automation solutions deliver the required operational and business outcomes.

The role & your impact

This is a highly cross-functional role combining strategic, technical, and operational responsibilities. You will act as the primary user representative for finished goods packaging investments, ensuring solutions are designed, implemented, validated, and handed over in line with business requirements, quality standards, safety expectations, and future capacity needs.

Your Key Responsibilities In This Role

- Lead finished goods packaging user activities from project definition through operational handover.
- Define and approve User Requirement Specifications, Installation Requirement Specifications, operational requirements, and acceptance criteria.
- Support project business cases, investment justifications, and approval materials.
- Review packaging concepts, equipment layouts, warehouse designs, internal logistics flows, and storage concepts.
- Review equipment sizing and design solutions for packaging, conveying, palletizing, storage, and logistics operations.
- Ensure automation interfaces support operational and business requirements.
- Coordinate requirements and inputs from Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, EHS, and Automation stakeholders.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, FAT, SAT, commissioning, startup,



and operational readiness activities.
- Evaluate project performance and achievement of intended operational outcomes.
- Support technology roadmaps and identify opportunities within packaging, automation, warehousing, and material-handling technologies.

What You'll Need To Be Successful In This Role

- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Production Engineering, Automation Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline.
- More than 10 years of relevant technical experience.
- At least 5 years of experience within production, supply chain, packaging operations, warehousing, engineering, or CAPEX project execution.
- Solid knowledge of packaging processes, material flow, palletizing, storage, internal transport, and operational processes.
- Experience with equipment sizing, plant layouts, design reviews, commissioning, startup, and project handover.
- Experience with logistics planning, pallet calculations, and material movement design.
- Knowledge of food safety, quality, EHS, hygienic design, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.

Additional Skills & Interests We Value

- Experience with AutoCAD, Visio, SolidWorks, or equivalent engineering tools.
- Experience with DCS, PLC, ABB 800xA, warehouse management systems,



or related automation platforms.
- Interest in emerging packaging, warehousing, logistics, automation, and digital technologies.
- Experience training users and project coordinators in CAPEX project methodologies.
