Role Description The Buyer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Mumbai. The Buyer is responsible for sourcing and procuring construction materials, fixtures, and services in line with project specifications, budget, and timelines. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, requesting and comparing quotations, negotiating prices and contracts, and placing purchase orders.

The role involves coordinating closely with project managers, site engineers, and finance teams to ensure timely delivery, accurate documentation, and adherence to quality standards. The Buyer also monitors inventory levels, tracks supplier performance, maintains purchase records,



and supports cost optimization initiatives across projects.

Qualifications

- Solid procurement and vendor management skills, including sourcing, negotiation, and contract handling.
- Ability to analyze pricing, compare quotations, and manage budgets for materials and services.
- Good understanding of construction materials, building products, and real estate project requirements (residential preferred).
- Proficiency in using MS Office and procurement or ERP software for documentation and reporting.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple purchase orders and timelines simultaneously.
- Prior experience as a Buyer or in purchasing within construction, real estate, or a related industry is highly beneficial.
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Commerce, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to work on-site, visit supplier locations or project sites as needed, and adhere to company compliance and ethical standards.
