AutoCAD Programmer

Job Summary

We are looking for an AutoCAD Programmer to develop, customize, and maintain AutoCAD-based drafting and design solutions. The role involves creating and modifying AutoCAD drawings, developing automation routines, and improving design workflows using AutoLISP, VBA, .NET, or other relevant programming tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain AutoCAD programs, scripts, macros, and automation routines.
- Create and modify 2D/3D drawings according to engineering and project requirements.
- Develop AutoLISP, VBA, or AutoCAD .NET applications to automate repetitive drafting tasks.
- Customize AutoCAD commands, menus, tool palettes, templates, and standards.
- Convert manual drafting processes into automated workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AutoCAD programming and drawing-related issues.
- Review drawings for accuracy, standards, dimensions, and compliance.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and project teams to understand requirements.
- Maintain existing CAD automation tools and improve their functionality.
- Prepare technical documentation and user instructions for developed programs.
- Test programs and troubleshoot errors before deployment.

Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D/3D.
- Programming experience in one or more of:
- AutoLISP
- VBA
- C# / VB.NET




- AutoCAD .NET API
- AutoCAD scripting
- Good understanding of engineering drawings, layers, blocks, dimensions, and CAD standards.
- Ability to automate repetitive CAD operations.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to understand technical drawings and engineering requirements.
- Positive communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
- Experience with CAD automation or customization.
- Knowledge of Excel integration, APIs, databases, or ERP systems is an advantage.
- Experience working with industry-specific AutoCAD applications is preferred.
