Role Description The Automation Test Engineer (Automotive Infotainment) is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test frameworks and scripts for automotive infotainment systems, ensuring software quality and reliability across various features and integrations. The engineer will create and review test cases, perform functional and regression testing, execute test cycles, analyze results, and document defects with clear, actionable reports.

Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating closely with development and product teams, refining test strategies, contributing to continuous improvement of testing processes, and supporting release cycles with timely validation and sign-off.





Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust skills in Test Engineering and Testing methodologies, with experience in automotive or embedded systems preferred.
- Candidates should possess skills in creating and managing Test Cases, including test design, coverage analysis, and test documentation.
- Candidates should possess hands-on experience in Test Execution, including automated test runs, result analysis, and defect reporting.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Functional Testing, validating infotainment features, integrations, and user flows against requirements.
- Experience with automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Python/Java-based frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, test management tools) is beneficial.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively in cross-functional, on-site teams are expected.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and familiarity with automotive standards or infotainment platforms will be an advantage.

Required Skills

- 3+ years of experience in Software Testing / Automation Testing.
- Good understanding of STLC, functional and regression testing.
- Basic to intermediate Python scripting skills.
- Hands-on knowledge of test automation concepts.
- Experience with CAN communication and automotive testing.
- Experience in Android/iOS application testing.
- Knowledge of Android Auto and Bluetooth testing.
- Strong analytical, debugging and issue-reproduction skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering teams
