THE ROLE

We are seeking Associate Partners / Partners to join our growing India business, with one position based in our GIFT City office in Gujarat and one based in New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, or Chennai. This full-time, client-facing role focuses on developing relationships with high-net-worth (HNW) clients and their professional advisers, and on promoting our cross-border wealth protection and insurance solutions. We welcome applications from both experienced and early-career candidates: responsibilities and title will be adjusted according to experience, with Associate Partners following a structured path to progress into the Partner role over time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Originate and cultivate long-term relationships with high-net-worth (HNW) clients, family offices, and their professional advisers managing Indian clients worldwide.




- Drive new business development across the Indian market, including Indian diaspora worldwide, identifying and converting opportunities among HNW individuals, families, and their trusted advisers.
- Structure and articulate sophisticated cross-border wealth protection and insurance-based solutions tailored to complex client needs.
- Cultivate and manage a network of private bankers, trustees, and other professional advisers to build a sustainable business pipeline.
- Partner closely with our case management and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding, structuring, and ongoing servicing of client relationships.
- Maintain a current, well-informed perspective on market, regulatory, and product developments relevant to HNW clients and cross-border planning in India.
- Represent 1291 Group at industry forums, client engagements, and networking events, reinforcing our standing within the private wealth community.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Law, or a related field.
- Fluent English (spoken and written); Hindi and/or other Indian regional languages an advantage.
- Experience in financial services, insurance, private banking, or a related commercial role is an advantage; more extensive client-facing experience and an established network are expected for the senior Partner position.




- Familiarity with the Indian HNW market and its regulatory environment; existing relationships with HNW clients, family offices, or professional advisers in India are highly valued.
- Client-centric mindset, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and a discreet, skilled demeanour.
- Entrepreneurial and self-motivated, with the drive to build a client base and referral network over time.
- Ideally based in, or willing to relocate to, GIFT City, Gujarat. We are open to exceptional candidates based in New Delhi / Bangalore / Chennai / Hyderabad.
