Role Description The Associate – IPR Trademark Litigation role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Kolkata metropolitan area. The associate will support trademark litigation matters, including drafting and reviewing pleadings, motions, and other court documents, and assisting in case strategy. Daily responsibilities include conducting legal and factual research, coordinating with clients and internal teams, managing case files,



and preparing documentation for hearings in various courts and tribunals.

The role also involves assisting in depositions and evidence collection, monitoring case timelines, and ensuring compliance with procedural requirements and firm quality standards.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Law, with a focus on Intellectual Property and trademark litigation.
- Experience drafting and reviewing Motions and other litigation pleadings.
- Proficiency in legal and factual Research related to IP and civil procedure.
- Exposure to Depositions, evidence handling, and witness preparation in litigation matters.
- Familiarity with functioning of various Courts, including High Courts and IP tribunals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B); enrollment with the Bar Council and eligibility to practice in India.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in IP or civil litigation, preferably trademarks.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with solid drafting abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a structured, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple matters.
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
