Role Description The Associate will work on a full-time, on-site basis in Pune City, supporting the firm’s commercial and corporate practice. Day-to-day responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts such as vendor agreements, employment and HR agreements, NDAs, SLAs, MSAs, and partnership or joint venture agreements. The role involves conducting legal research, assessing contractual risks, and providing clear, practical advice to business clients.

The Associate will assist in contract lifecycle management, support dispute resolution and litigation matters, and collaborate with senior lawyers to deliver timely, accurate legal solutions.



The position requires strong attention to detail, effective communication with clients and internal teams, and a commitment to maintaining high professional and ethical standards.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in contract drafting, review, and negotiation, particularly for commercial agreements, vendor and supplier contracts, and service-related arrangements.
- Experience or familiarity with employment and HR agreements, NDAs, SLAs, MSAs, and partnership or joint venture agreements, with the ability to align legal terms with business goals.
- Competence in legal research, risk assessment, and contract lifecycle management, including identifying key legal issues and proposing practical solutions.
- Knowledge of corporate and commercial law, and interest or experience in dispute resolution and litigation support.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong drafting precision and the ability to explain legal concepts clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, manage multiple matters, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced practice.
- Bachelor’s degree in law (LL.B) from a recognized institution; enrollment with the Bar Council and prior internship or work experience in corporate/commercial law are preferred.
- High ethical standards, professional integrity, robust analytical skills, and willingness to learn and grow within a client-focused law firm.
