Position: Assistant Teacher - Early Years

Role Summary The Assistant Teacher - Early Years will work closely with the Homeroom Teacher to support learning, play and daily classroom routines, while contributing to the development, confidence and wellbeing of young pupils.

Location: King's College UK, Gurugram, Sector 59, Bandhwari, Gurugram, Haryana 122102

Start Date: January 2027

Key Responsibilities

- Support learning, play and daily classroom routines.
- Work closely with the Homeroom Teacher to create a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.




- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
- Support pupils’ social, emotional and developmental needs.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and parents.
- Participate in school events, meetings and professional development.

Requirements

- 1–2 years’ Early Years teaching experience in an IB school.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or an equivalent qualification.
- Good understanding of child development and play-based learning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach to working with young children.
