Company Description Ashwini Charitable Trust (ACT) is a registered Non-Governmental Organization founded in 2000 in Bengaluru to educate and empower underprivileged children from the Ulsoor slums. Led primarily by women and supported by over 300 weekly volunteers, ACT has grown from supporting 9 children to over 310 children as of 2025-2026. The organization focuses on holistic development, ensuring children’s physical, mental, and emotional well-being through comprehensive educational programs.
ACT believes that small, supportive steps can enable children to move from hesitant beginnings to confident, independent lives. The Trust actively invites individuals to contribute through sponsorships, volunteering, and program support.
Reporting To:
Reporting directly to the Program Coordinator, the Assistant Program Coordinator will need to be based in Bangalore and will be supporting the Program Coordinator to ensure that the programmatic objectives are met and that ACTs activities grow and evolve.
- Implementing the community mobilization strategies for strengthening community engagement (engaging mothers, enrolment of new children, etc.)
- Coordination of volunteer orientations and inductions
- Child assessments
Key Roles and Responsibilities
Implementation of the Programs
- Implementation and daily management of the projects to deliver project outcomes within stated timelines
Documentation of Program
- Programmatic reporting and documentation (to internal and external stakeholders)
- Volunteer reports, weekly
- Drafting letters (volunteers, interns, etc.)
Impact Assessment of Program
- Daily monitoring and evaluation of projects for continuous improvement in conjunction with Program team
Data Capturing and Analysis
- Timely capturing of data with regards to all stakeholders (student, parents, child attendance, performance, progress, volunteer hours, etc.)
- Provide timely and precise information for monthly, quarterly, yearly or any other reports and documentation
Event Management
- Implement all Program based events like Annual Day, etc.
- Inventory management for any program related function, with admin team
- Supporting administrative responsibilities
Program Communication
- Ability to draft reports representing Program achievements
Mandatory Requirement:
- Graduate degree(BSW) or equivalent in relevant fields: Education, Public Policy or Management
- Experience in the sector will be preferred.
- Understanding of monitoring and tracking programs
- Should have the ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data
- Strong written and verbal communication.
- Strong with MS Office, Google, etc.

- Knowledge of Kannada, Tamil, etc.
