Role & responsibilities

- Design and develop tractor transmission/gearbox systems as per performance and application requirements.

- Develop gear trains, gear ratios, shafts, housings, bearings and related transmission components.

- Perform gear, shaft, bearing, torque, strength and durability calculations.

- Prepare and review 2D/3D CAD models, drawings, GD&T; and engineering specifications.

- Support prototype development, testing, validation and production trials.

- Conduct DFMEA, design reviews, tolerance analysis and design optimization.

- Coordinate with R&D;, Manufacturing, Quality, Testing, Purchase and Suppliers for product development.

- Resolve design, performance, noise, vibration and durability issues through RCA and corrective actions.

- Support cost reduction, VA/VE and design improvement activities.

- Manage engineering changes, BOM, drawing releases and technical documentation.

- Benchmark competitor tractor transmissions and support recent transmission/platform development.
